I am a Licensed Counselor in Idaho, Michigan, Nevada, Texas, and Utah with over 14 years working in mental health. I have worked with variety of concerns in many different settings including outpatient, community non-profit, schools, and private practice.
My focus and passion are helping people find and maintain fulfillment in their various relationships and heal from relationship trauma. Our relationships with others impact so many aspects of our lives and I aim to help you gain control of those impacts.
In addition to relationship communication, I am also focused in PTSD, disordered eating, anxiety, self-worth, and LGBTQ+ issues. I treat a broad array of other issues, as well, using a tailored-to-you approach that ensures you get what you need out of our time together.

Paulina Cortez - Wellness Coordinator Intern
Paulina is a Wellness Coordinator Intern at Smee Wellness for Fall 2026 and a senior at UNLV pursuing her B.A. in Psychology. She supports the practice through community outreach, social media, marketing, and administrative work, helping us connect with the community and keep things running smoothly.
Passionate about mental health awareness and compassionate support, Paulina plans to pursue a Master's in Mental Health Counseling. Outside of her work with us, she enjoys blogging, video editing, and drawing, and she brings that creativity to everything she does.
